Can you build? Much of our lives are filled with thoughts of inadequacy, frustration, and discontent. We lose a friendship. We miss a car payment. We fail an exam. Our businesses didn’t meet its monthly goal. We didn’t get that leading role. We gained weight. “We forgot to”……….”we should’ve”………..”could’ve”………”would’ve”. Well truth be told, “we just didn’t”, and that’s okay! Perfection in the Kingdom of God is not as we see it in the world. If we had the ability to be perfect then we would be God, not needing a savior, and just feeling glorious enough to lord over the planet as competitive god’s. The humbling thing that we should except about life is that we in our own capacity can do nothing. We are a failure until God makes us a success. We are not alive until He loans us a bit of His oxygen. If God held His breath, we would all probably stop breathing. We come from a loving Father who eternally breathes for us so He can be glorified in our lives. So really, is it the end of the world? Is that marriage so bad that you should completely dispose of the relationship? Was your first piano recital so bad that it became impossible for you to get back on a stage? Is it too late to start again after losing your home? Although not so favorable, I believe filing bankruptcy is also an extension of God’s good grace.
We should always look for signs of Life. Understand that the world works on a reproductive cycle. You have the power to dream well over your life just as God did when He created you from His imagination. You have the power to speak the right things at the the right times, and by faith, work out the vision with the skills deposited in your spirit. Just as we have seed bearing seed, nothing in you dies unless the root has been pulled out. When I say root, I mean the seed of righteousness that is encoded with only goodness. You are a product of the Tree of Life. You are the fruit of Jesus that extends from His branches. As long as you keep your root, you will always be able to start again.
HEU: “Get back on the horse. It’s never too late.”
