In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.
I Thessalonians 5:18
The day I stopped complaining about what I hated in my life was the day God opened the door for something better and brand new!!!!!
Acceptance is important. Everybody wants to be accepted, even God. His will is His word, and His word is Himself. When we accept His will, we accept Him and all that comes with being His child.
God has some amazing blessings in store for His children. Our problem is that we measure the goodness of Jesus to the quality of earthly possesions. Can God be measured? Absolutely not! God wants to see how well we steward over what we have. Can you be faithful over a few things? How well can you maximize an investment.
It doesn’t matter the lot you are given. God just wants a faithful soul. Your contentment says that you are with God even when it all looks bad. He knows that if He can trust you with what’s not popular, you won’t leave Him when It becomes the new fad. His blessings are His heart being given to you. Take care of His heart by being thankful.
HEU: Lets make God feel appreciated.
Psalm 107:1 – I Oh give thanks to the Lord, for he is good, for his steadfast love endures forever!
Ephesians 5:20 – Giving thanks always and for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ,
Colossians 3:15-17 – And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. And be thankful. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God. And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.
James 1:17 – Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change.
Philippians 4:6 – Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.
